Bike contests are fit to Qubiz

Andrei Oros is Qubiz’s representative in various bike competitions organised in Romania, as well as Hungary. He wanted to share with us his impressions regarding these contests and talk about the prizes he has won. Andrei told us that in the past year, he participated in 3 different types of contests: Marathon, XCO and Downhill. In total, he rode his bike in 10 contests and took one of the first 3 places in 9 of them. We are very proud of him.

10 competitions in 2014

In 2014, Andrei took part in 10 bike competitions and he placed himself in the top 3 participants in 9 of them, as follows:

Probikers marathon @ Oradea via Paleu:

  • 3rd place in the general category
  • 3rd place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

Liman Race @ Timisoara:

  • 2nd place in the general category
  • 1st place in his age category (younger than 18 years old

“It was the dirtiest competition ever” - he told usCasoaia @Arad:

  • He participated in Elite category, which is for professional bikers
  • 2nd place in the general category
  • 2nd place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

Concordia Cup @Lugoj:

  • 3rd place in the general category
  • 2nd place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

MTB Maraton @Baia-Mare

  • 3rd place in the general category
  • 1st place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

MTB XCO @Paltinis

  • 3rd place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

XCP Marathon @Paltinis

  • 3rd place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

Andrei told us that it was a very hard track with many rocks

MTB Marathon @ Gurasada Park

  • a route of around 50 km
  • 3rd place in the general category
  • 1st place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

Tarkal XCO @ Hungary

  • 1st place in the general category
  • 1st place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

Back to roots @ Baia Mare XCO

  • 2nd place in his age category (younger than 18 years old)

7 more competitions are to come in 2014

Andrei told us that starting 2015, he would like to join Elite bike competitions for professional bikers and one of his goals is to take part in the XCO international cup and also to finish it.

For sure, he is very ambitious and willing to be part of many other bike competitions. In 2014, he will join 7 other competitions, some of them being:

  • XCO Crater Cup in Betfia
  • The National Marathon Championship
  • MTB Michelin @ Zalau
